Penney

Penney

DSH - female

Penney came into care with 3 newborn kittens, she is a fantastic mum who is very attentative to her babies, she is also very affectionate and loveable to people and really deserves a stable home of her own. She has come from a life where she didn't really have a home she just 'belonged' to a unit block and was fed by all the residents. She must have been someones pet at some stage as she is really sweet and friendly. Household nosies were a bit new to her but she has adjusted well to televisions, vacuums, clothes dryer etc and is happy to use a litter tray. She is scared of dogs so would be best in a dog free household, she would make a great indoor cat as she loves cuddles and watching what her humans are up to. She is ready to go to her new home now.

Amythst

Amythst

DSH - female

Amy is a delightful natured girl with the most soft and beautiful coat. She looks just like a minature black panther! She is cuddly and easy to handle, a very confident and friendly girl she will fit into her new home straight away. Amy would prefer to be an inside/outside cat. She is quite playful and gets along well with other cats. Amy is quite independant so a home where people are working full time would not bother her at all. She'll greet you when you get home with purrs and head rubs, entwining herself around your legs and cuddling into your lap when you sit down. She also has a cute habit of licking you on occassion too. She does tend to play rough and when she is in a playful mood she can play bite, therefore a home with very young children would not be suitable. She is a great allrounder and will make a welcome addition to any household after an independent but affectionate feline friend. Amy is also great with dogs.

Dusty

Dusty

Staffy x - female

Dusty is a gorgeous little girl. She is very playful and always gentle. She loves cuddles and attention like all puppies and would make a lovely addition to a caring and attentive family. Dusty hasn't had any obedience training, however I believe that she would respond quite well, especially for her young age if her new family put in the time to teach her. Dusty is great with other dogs and would probably benefit from going to a home with another dog.

Bellas Babies: Bellatrix

Bella's Babies: Bellatrix

DSH - female

Very pretty, playful, gorgeous little kittens. These two babies are available seperately and would fit easily into a household after a kitten that is gentle, easy to handle and although quite the explorers they are not over the top and are delights to have around.

Bella's Babies: Bellatrix was adopted on 11 January 2008 after 1 month in foster care

Saffron

Saffron

DSH - female

Saffron is a sweet girl who was only a kitten herself when she came into care heavily pregnant. Unfortunately she lost her babies as they appear to have been born prematurely and were not developed enough to survive (please see the 'sponsorship required page'). Saffron has now recovered from this sad event, and is now a happy and affectionate feline. She enjoys playing with her foster mother 'Martha' or playing with toys on her own. She also likes to sleep in your lap or in the sun by the window. Saffron would make the perfect companion for someone who would like a friendly, house trained and independent cat.

Poor Saffron had a very difficult birth with her premature babies. One was born still born and another was unable to be born naturally due to it's positioning within her womb. Saffron was rushed to the vet for x-rays and a shot to induce her remaining kitten. She eventually gave birth fourteen hours after her previous kitten was born, but all the kittens were weak and underdeveloped. To make matters worse Saffron was not producing any milk which lead her carer to hand feed the kittens every four hours. Unfortunately, none of the kittens were strong enough to survive. Saffron's vet bills have now come to $285 and we are now seeking sponsorship to help with these expenses.

If you can help please call Megan on 9627 2767 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or Click Here Thanks to Barbara, J.Dunn and Amanda for their donations towards Saffron's vet fees

Poppy aka Ellie

Poppy aka Ellie

Large Size Cross Breed - female

Ellie is a very affectionate and super smart pup, she walks well on a lead and is quick to learn. Ellie will grow to be a medium to large sized dog and will require a decent sized yard, plenty of walks and lots of cuddles. Ellie is both an indoor and outdoor dog

she's house trained and loves to snuggle up with you in the evenings. Ellie would suit a family with older children (5/6 years and up), or another dog/pup to play with

she loves to be the centre of attention! Ellie's loyal and loving nature has shown she will easily become 'part of the family'.
