Rocky

Rocky

It has been over 12 months since we adopted our giant boy and we've discovered the only thing bigger than his stature is his heart. Whether we are going on holidays, going for a bush walk, or chilling on the lounge he is always by our side, keeping an eye on his family- especially the little ones! We couldn't imagine life without his goofy grin, or the enthusiastic welcome we get every single time he sees us. We love him to bits and are so grateful to DCH Animal Adoptions :)

Zohey and Mango

Zohey and Mango

We have recently adopted Zohey and Mango,
They are 5 years old,
We love having them both, and they have settled into our home very well...
They love snuggling up to us when we are sitting on the lounge..
They are both gorgeous.

Shady (adopted as Irish)

Shady (adopted as Irish)

We adopted shady (adopted as Irish) when she was 10 weeks old. She is now almost 18 months old and we have loved every moment we have had with her. she keeps everyone on their toes with her antics but also loves a cuddle! very happy we adopted her :)

Miss Piggy (Lucy)

Miss Piggy (Lucy)

My partner and I recently adopted our kitten through your agency and we would just like to thank you.

Mary and her family in Windsor Downs was our kittens foster family and they were super accommodating and helpful with every step. Mary and her husband gave us lots of useful advice and tips on how to care for Lucy and answered any questions we had. They are a lovely family and I’m so grateful that they looked after Lucy until she was ready to come home to us.

Our kitten, Lucy, formally know as Miss Piggy, is a beautiful little girl who has adjusted so well into our family and home. She is a delight and we simply adore her. She is very loved and spoilt but we wouldn’t have it any other way! Lucy is super playful and loves all her toys as well as cuddles, pats and snuggles as she is very affectionate. She is everything we were looking for when we were looking to adopt a kitten.

Once again, thank you for making our adoption process so simple and easy for us as we are first time adoptees.

Please see attached photos of Lucy in her new forever home.

Warm Regards,
Kaylee, Ben, Logan, Halle & Lucy

Gertie

Gertie

Back in 2011 we adopted an older dog (Gertie) through DCH. She’d come from Windsor pound

Gert’s now 13, and after the cruel start life gave her, has mellowed into a beautiful old girl. She’s very grey and cloudy eyed, but her coat is still a magnificent shiny black.

Drop the tailgate of the ute down and she’s still got spring enough to jump on board.

ANZAC Day marks her 8th year with us.
Happy Days.

Polly Pocket

Polly Pocket

Polly was one of my foster cats, I’ve had many, many foster cats over the last 12 years from being a carer for DCH, but this little cat won our hearts. The only one I’ve ever kept. It’s often the case that the kittens get adopted but the mumma cat is kinda rejected for being too old.

Not Polly!

She’s a spritely little thing, with a meow that matches her size..small! She’s a beautiful addition to the household and I thank the former carers for looking after her and her kittens before she came to me. We love her to bits.

Tricky now answers to Bailey

Tricky now answers to Bailey

We lost our cocker in May to lymphoma.
Was not going to get another dog to hard to say goodbye. But our house was not a home without one so we decided to get a rescue.. Best thing. Tricky/ Bailey has settled in well it as if he knows he is home !!!
We love him to bits, hope all of your rescue dogs find good homes
Wish we had more room and could afford to adopt more dogs.
You guys do a wonderful job..
Thank you Angus and Toni

Casper

Casper

We adopted Casper in 2010 when he was 4. He is turning 13 next month. He has bought so much joy and happiness to our lives with his tail wagging and wiggley as he is a little more mature now he just loves to relax and chill. He is the most adorable little man and we love him and could not image a life without him. I want to say a big thank you to DCH Animal Adoptions for letting Casper join our family.

Maggie and Archie

Maggie and Archie

Maggie and Archie (formerly Poppitt and Biscuit) were adopted together 5 weeks ago by my husband and I and our housemates, but it feels like they've been here forever. They now spend their days snuggling together and with their humans, wrestling and stealing food from their dog sister. They are so spoilt and so loved.
Maggie's favourite spot is her dad's computer chair and the bath mat. Archie's favourite spot is wherever you are, or with Maggie. I write this as he's cuddled up beside me, occasionally meowing to remind me to pat him. Maggie is chasing a toy mouse around and demanding her dad throw it for her.
I have a chronic illness and can't leave the house much, so having them, their adopted doggy sister Mirri and my lorikeet Mingo helps me so much. They have all rescued me far more than I rescued them.

Jedda

Jedda

Jedda (originally named Jordan) was advertised in May 2007 as a jack russell cross but quickly grew into a cattle dog cross! She is an amazing doggo, much loved, and very easy to train (will do anything for treats). Thank you! I recommend DCH to many of my friends who are considering a pet.
