Jasper

Jasper

Maltese - male

Jasper is cute as a button and almost as small. He is the ultimate lapdog. Jasper was surrendered to the pound when his owner became ill and still looks a little sad. Jasper would love nothing better than spending the whole day (and night) curled up in your lap. Whenever you walk past Jasper he immediately rolls onto his back waiting for a tummy rub. He does not need much exercise but certainly still loves his walks and enjoys having a little run around the park. Jasper is excellent in the car and is housetrained. He gets along okay with my large dog but would probably prefer to be the only dog so he can get all the attention. He is a very quiet dog and you would hardly know he is there. Jasper likes children but is not interested in playing any games so would most likely be suited to a single person or couple. He would be fine living in a unit and is just waiting to be given a forever home where he can spend his whole time in your lap.

Jasper was adopted on 08 February 2007 after 2 months in foster care

Lucille

Lucille

Australian Blue Cattle Dog - female

Lucy is a small finely built ACD female. She is a very happy girl who smiles all the time and just loves attention from humans. Lucy would be a lap dog if she was allowed too and loves nothing better than sitting half in your lap and giving kisses. She has definitely had obedience training at some stage as knows sit/stay, drop and basic commands. She is great to walk on lead and will happily trot beside you when off lead as well. She is currently living with a larger male dog and they get along fine although Lucy would rather be with her humans. Lucy travels great in the car and is currently living as an inside/outside dog. She will need regular exercise as she does have energy but as long as she is exercised she is a happy, placid dog who just wants someone to love her. The photo shows Lucy doing her special dance which she tends to do if she is being ignored and wants some attention. Lucy would be fine as an only dog or doggy companion for a male dog. She would suit either a larger property or a home where she would be regularly exercised. Probably not suited for smaller children as she can get excited when meeting people and tends to jump up a little for attention.

Lucille was adopted on 06 February 2007 after 1 month in foster care

Gypsy

Gypsy

Medium Cross Breed - female

Gypsy is a very calm and quiet,a real smoochie girl. she loves kids, following them around everywhere and she is not bothered by other dogs. She walks well on the lead and is a very laid back dog. She happily sleeps outside, loves a pat and has great manners. A really lovely, easy going dog who just lays at your feet and is a joy to have around.

Gypsy was adopted on 06 February 2007 after 1 month in foster care

Oddie

Oddie

Dane x - male

Oddie is such a funny, dopey boy! He loves nothing more than to play and get pats although he is very well behaved and doesn't jump up at you. He would make a great addition to any family as he is great with kids and all dogs. He loves playing with all his foster sisters and brothers and especially his litter mate (who I have kept as my own dog). He has such great personality that everything is full of fun and life. He displays no aggression and gets along well with all dogs even dominant males. He will probably grow to be the size of boxer as he is quite lean and athletic. He is an active pup that would be ideal for an active family with older children as although he isn't boisterous he is a largish dog.

Oddie was adopted on 20 January 2007 after 3 days in foster care

Nuggett

Nuggett

Small Cross Breed - male

Nugget is a gorgeous little pup that is the size of a fat chiuahua. He has a very cute and outgoing personality and gets along very well with all of his foster brothers and sisters. He loves to be with humans and would make an ideal inside dog due to his small size. Judging from his growth at the moment, he will probably grow to be the size of a small maltese. He has the body and the tail of a stocky pug and the little head of a foxy. Nugget would ideally love to go to a home with another dog but would deal fine as an only dog with someone who was home a lot of the time. Nuggie is great with kids and would be fine for a family with young children due to his size.

Nuggett was adopted on 20 January 2007 after 3 weeks in foster care

Lucy

Lucy

Medium Size Terrier x - female

Lucy is beautiful and sweet girl, who is a little timid when she first meets people and when she is exposed to new surroundings although she warms very quickly and is very responsive after the initial meeting. This is probably due to the fact that she was abused previously. But even though she may have been harmed by humans previously she is so forgiving and loving. She displays no aggression to dogs or humans and is extremely well behaved at meal times. Lucy is the size of a border collie but has the build of kelpie. She is probably crossed with a terrier of some sort. She has a wirey coat that needs to be brushed once a week to stop it from knotting but otherwise she is a very low maintenance dog that only wants to be loved. She would probably be best suited to a family with teenage children as she does frighten easily of loud noises. Lucy would make a great addition to a family that is looking for a low maintenance dog that needs a little attention every day.

Lucy was adopted on 20 January 2007 after 3 weeks in foster care

Hoover

Hoover

Cattle x - male

Hoover is a gorgeous pup with a very out going personality. He is great with all his other foster brothers and sisters and would be fine as the only dog. He loves his food and being around people. He is chunkier than his sister Jazzy and will probably grow to Labrador size. He would make a great addition to any family.

Hoover was adopted on 20 January 2007 after 1 month in foster care

Peppa

Peppa

Pomeranian - female

Good natured, friendly little girl. Peppa is good with other dogs and is very affectionate and a real lap dog with people. Peppa is still in the process of being housetrained and does require further obedience training as she is very much still a puppy.

Peppa was adopted on 18 January 2007 after 4 weeks in foster care
