Melba's story

G'day

The leaders of my new pack are helping me type this message to you because I wanted to let you know how I'm getting on. I can do lots of clever things as you know, but without thumbs typing is a bit hard....

Firstly, I wanted to thank you for looking after me and finding a new pack for me live with - there are two upright walkers and two of those annoying cat things in the pack. I love the upright walkers and they love me. The cat things don't seem to like me very much though, so I just ignore them - it's much more fun playing and roaming about anyhow!

I'm settled in to my new home now and am enjoying tasting things and testing the durability of everything! (Turns out the fancy bed mattress from the pet shop isn't very durable.......) There are a couple of acres here so I also have lots of room to run around and things to do.

The leaders of my pack like the water - which is great because you remember how much I like the water!! We live near a big river so most afternoons we go for a walk down there and I have a great time splashing about, chasing sticks and trying to catch waves! On the weekends we sometimes go out on the boat - so many things to see and smell. Sometimes these slimy silver things end up in the boat too - it's very exciting!! I also have a good friend which we go and visit sometimes, she's a Chocolate Labrador - but likes to run and swim like me - we have a great time together!

Anyhow, I hope you don't miss me too much, but I'm safe and happy. I've attached a couple of photos for you. Gotta go and test the durability of my new squeak toy - I want to see if it lasts longer than my Frisbee!

Love Melba
