Colby

Colby

Great Dane cross - male

Colby is a very shy but also very sweet boy who just likes to be around people constantly, following his carer everywhere and laying in whatever room she is in. At the moment he is very quiet and as such is being walked much as he is still scared of his new surroundings, but would need someone who has the time to spend with him and make him feel comfortable, and eventually get him out and walking and around other dogs. He has lived with dogs previously, and has used them as comfort, so would not be against going to a home with another dog. He is now by himself with his carer, to try and help build his bonds with people. He's is a beautiful and lovely natured dog.
Please contact Gemma for more information and to meet Colby.

Colby was adopted on 13 December 2018 after 1 month in foster care

Carly

Carly

Dalmation cross Bull Arab - female

Hi I’m Carly! My foster carer tells me I am most probably a Dalmatian x Bull Arab because that’s what my ma and pa were on the farm I was surrendered from.. I am 5 months old and I came from a litter of 6... I am the last one to find a home and I don’t know why! I LOVE people! You can find me cuddling up to you(I’m not too big to be a lap dog..yet) and licking your face as soon as you are on my level to do so. Currently I live with an older, smaller dog who doesn’t really care for other dogs and a 1 year old male who loves the company! We play all the time! I am getting better at walking on a leash and I often go with my other doggy friends to the dog park to socialise with all different types of dogs, you could say I’m an all rounder!! If you would like to adopt me and make me your furever doggo contact my foster ma on 0424135579!

Carly was adopted on 08 December 2018 after 2 months in foster care

Piccolo

Piccolo

DSH - male

Piccolo is an easy going boy, and doesn’t need a great deal of attention – as long as he knows he is loved.  Like most adult cats, he does enjoy a good sleep and he loves to lay next to his people while they are watching TV.  He is particularly happy if he’s allowed to snuggle up in bed at night.

He could be called lazy,  if it weren’t for the fact he clearly lazes to keep his family company.  And, he is happy to play chase with a piece of string if offered!  He also love to rub around his humans’ legs – particularly if food may be on the horizon!

As a mature and very calm pussy cat, Pic would make a lovely companion; once he gets over his initial shyness, he’ll love you for life.  Piccolo would best suit a household with no small children. However, if introduced slowly, would be okay with another friendly, laidback cat or dog. He just doesn’t cope well with new animals coming and going in foster care.

Piccolo has lived indoors to date.  He is de-sexed, and is up to date on all his vet requirements.   Please contact Piccolo’s carer, Kat - on 0413607360 -  to learn more about him.

**Piccolo had a few medical issues in his youth. A HUGE thankyou to all the people that sponsored Piccolo's vet fees. His extra costs have now been fully covered.

Thanks to Wayne, Gillian, Laine, Alison, Julie, Marlene, Peter, Amber and Susan

Piccolo was adopted on 06 December 2018 after 5.7 years in foster care

Domestic Short Hair - female

Shanni & Caleb are looking for a new home. They would ideally like to stay together and be adopted into the same family home.

These 2 beautiful kittens were handed in as strays in Western Sydney.
They love playing together and exploring new things. Caleb is the more adventurous one and Shanni takes a little while longer to get used to a new environment.

Both kittens love a good pat and easily turn on their purr engines. Both will play with any toy that moves.

Bob Jane

Bob Jane

Domestic Short Hair - male

I’m an affectionate, tabby-rific, mega-cutie with a slightly embarrassing megacolon issue.

I do like to snuggle, especially when it’s cold, but it has to be on my terms. I’ll come to you when I’m ready. A cat’s got to maintain some independence, am i right?

I came into rescue as a very young kitty, having been abandoned by my mother. I was found in a tyre, that’s why I’m called Bob - as in Bob Jane.

My skills and interests: Purr machine. Lover of fine blankets. Accomplished pencil-attacker and plastic bottle top chaser.

My bucket list: To find that special someone who will accept me for who I am.

My ideal match: A patient and caring human(s) who realises that my special needs are minor but I will still provide a lifetime of love. I get along just fine in a busy household, I’m good with with other cats and kittens but I will boss them around for something to do. I like a good game of chase. I would love to have access to an Indoor/Outdoor cat run area where I can sun myself but still have access to the home to find you for companionship. My Bowel movements would be best completed outside in the cat run area as its a little embarrassing but I have a strong odour after going to the toilet.

Medical Notes
I have had issues with my bowels and bowel movements for my whole life.

I am currently located in the adoption enclosure at PETstock Macquarie Center North Ryde

Bob Jane was adopted on 01 December 2018 after 3.5 years in foster care

Dexter

Dexter

Schnoodle - male

Hi I'm Dexter and was surrendered to DCH by my owner.

I am a delightful happy-go-lucky almost 5 years old, house trained, pet and people friendly, don't bark, have a good persona, well kept and fed dog. I enjoy fruit and vegetables rice and chicken. I walk well on a lead, I ignore other dogs and birds. I have had no exposure to cats. I was previously housed on an apartment balcony and was walked twice daily for 1/2 hour.

I love chasing ball, sticks and retrieve both and love a game of tug-of-war I'm a typical puppy but not in a destructive manner. I am very people orientated and am happy to sit or lie quietly inside.

On the serious side, I have a skin condition and I am on medication for itch. A second vet suggested medicated shampoo bath twice a week at the moment. The rash has subsided quite significantly and is now the size of a 10 cent piece.

I must be adopted by someone responsible who is dedicated to keeping my skin condition under control. I need a home with a cool environment as summer really tests my allergy. I am okay in Winter. I need good quality food and snacks.

I'll make it worth your while if you'd like to come and meet me. Hope to see you soon! Love Dexter xx

Dexter was adopted on 30 November 2018 after 4 weeks in foster care
