Dude

Dude

QH x Appaloosa

Dude is 15.2hh and has limited sight in one eye. However, this does not prevent him from being a great trail horse. He's the perfect schoolmaster, having done everything, including teaching nervous adult beginners. Due to his age he is no longer suited to pony club, but would be ideal for 1-2 rides a week, or can be left for 2 months and he'll still be calm and sensible. Dude is available for $700

Dude was adopted on 02 December 2006 after 1 month in foster care

Bella

Bella

Bella early August 05

Ivan

Ivan

Appaloosa gelding

Urgent Private Sale

This poor boy is going to the doggers on the 20th if he's not rehomed

Ivan is a cute and cheeky little pony. He is broken in, however has not been ridden in the past year. He is a great leadline pony, but is quite forward off lead so will need someone with a bit of experience if they're going to ride him alone. He's in good condition, is great to float and handle, and has lots of personality. Available for $500

Ivan was adopted on 18 September 2006 after 2 months in foster care

Duke

Duke

Thoroughbred gelding

Due to Buyer Default Duke is now available for adoption again

Duke is a large, solid, stunning-looking horse, about 16.1hh. He is a big sook and loves attention. Duke is very quiet to handle although he can be a bit of a bully to the other horses around feed time. Duke has amazing paces and will make an exceptional riding or dressage horse. He is probably an ex-racehorse, so needs further education under saddle. Duke is available for $700

Duke was adopted on 24 August 2006 after 3 months in foster care

Picasso

Picasso

Stockhorse x Quarter Horse

Picasso was rehomed by DCH last year to a great home in Victoria. However, his new owner no longer has the time to ride him and doesn't want him wasting in the paddock. Picasso is about 16hh. He is quiet to handle, and has had natural horsemanship training on the ground and under saddle. He's done flatwork, jumping logs, riding in the bush, he's good with cars and getting used to trucks and motorbikes. He is responsive to neckreining, leg aids, stops and backs up on command. Picasso works well with other horses or by himself. He would be a good cattle horse/ barrel racer with the right training as he is quick on his feet and very smart and eager to please. He would suit an experienced rider to go on with. Picasso is fine in a paddock with other livestock, and also good around dogs.

Picasso was adopted on 14 August 2006 after 3 weeks in foster care
