Ben

Ben

Standardbred Gelding

Ben is a sweet natured horse who?s easy to worm, float, trim and rug. He was retired from racing in 2008 and is broken to saddle but green. Out of work currently, Ben requires a competent rider with a sound knowledge of dressage principles to continue his education. Someone with solid breaking / retraining / young horse education is ideal. Ben?s suffered abuse in the past and has a very soft disposition, he therefore needs an owner who is fair, kind and consistent. Ben is a smart, athletic horse who will excel with one on one care and consistent training.

Ben was adopted on 26 September 2012 after 1.5 years in foster care

Sarah

Sarah

Shetland pony mares

buckskin, aged; and Sassy

Sarah is an old girl who is very gentle and sweet and would love someone to cuddle her and brush the tangles out of her mane. She?s had slipper feet at some stage and will need regular trimming to get her feet back in shape. She possibly has poor sight and allows Sassy to lead her. Both are very food oriented so should be easy to retrain, they?re also both good to trim and worm. Sassy shows signs of having been mistreated and needs consistent handling to regain her trust in people. These ponies should be rehomed together as they are very closely bonded. If you would like to foster these two ponies please contact us for details of our fostering program. They?re currently located in Western Sydney.

Sarah was adopted on 22 April 2012 after 1.1 years in foster care

Capricorn Dancer Cappie

Oscar

Oscar

New Forest Pony Gelding

Oscar has done pony club and outside shows. Has competed and placed at State Mounted Games and State Show Riding. Not for beginner very forward moving, best suited to experienced teen or small adult. Lovable nature, easy to handle, float, clip, worm, shoe and immunise. To the best of homes only regretful sale.

Riley

Riley

Thoroughbred gelding

Riley is 16.1hh, 11 year old Thoroughbred gelding who has never raced. He was a late bloomer and is still a little green so would need an experienced rider to continue with his education. He has a loving nature and doesnt kick, buck or bite. Riley is a forward moving horse, very responsive to the aids and a quick learner. He would make a great dressage horse due to being quite supple and energetic. It is a sad sale but my lack of experience is impeding his education so I feel he will do much better in a knowledgeable home. We attend ARC on a regular basis and he is very well behaved and seems to enjoy the group environment. We recently did our first dressage test and he got 68%. He is a special horse however he did have colic surgery 1 1/2 years ago and has been left with small hernia. This doesnt affect him in any way and could be corrected. He has never had an episode since.

Zeus

Zeus

Thoroughbred gelding

Zeus is a kind, gentle, older boy. He is about 16hh and in good condition. Zeus is well-educated and has served his various riders well. He is a bit stiff from arthritis and deserves a quieter lifestyle. He would suit being a companion horse and giving occasional gentle rides to the grandkids.

Zeus was adopted on 20 June 2011 after 2.3 years in foster care

Ozzie

Ozzie

Thoroughbred Gelding

Ozzie has a sweet disposition and is very friendly, he's a gentleman to catch, feed, groom and trim. He's broken to saddle and is quiet and willing, however he's sufferedpast abuse so is best suited to an experienced rider. Ozzie's been retrained withnatural horsemanship principles and is most calm and happy when ridden in ahackamore/bosal so is seeking an owner who's willing to continue this. Ozzie's anhonest and kind horse who's looking for a family home where he'll receive lots of loveand attention and be taken on occasional pleasure rides.

Ozzie was adopted on 21 March 2011 after 2 days in foster care

Chewy

Chewy

Thoroughbred gelding

Chewy is a very quiet horse with a lovely nature. He's a solid build, and is great to catch, shoe, worm and float. He's not phased by dogs, cattle, pigs, motorbikes etc. Chewy is best suited as a companion horse due to lameness in his coffin bone. He gets along well with other horses and is not visibly lame when relaxing in the paddock. He can be taken for quiet walks around the paddock but cannot be worked. While very friendly he does require a confident handler due to his size.

Chewy was adopted on 14 September 2010 after 6 days in foster care

Ebony

Ebony

Thoroughbred Mare

Ebony is a quiet horse who's easy to catch, handle and float. She's been retired from a rider training establishment and would now suit being a paddock companion, or the occasional relaxed ride by a competent rider. She's girthy and tends to get a sore back and become cranky if she has to carry inexperienced or heavy riders. Ebony requires quarterly massages to keep her supple. Knowledgeable home required.

Zambian

Zambian

Anglo Arab Gelding

Zambian is an easygoing ex riding school horse. He's gentle, responsive and can be lightly ridden for trail / pleasure but is not suitable for jumping, lessons or hard work. Zambian is beginner safe, however as he's well educated we'd prefer a rider with at least intermediate riding skills.

Zambian was adopted on 22 March 2010 after 1 week in foster care
