Narla

Narla

DSH - female

narla is a very friendly cat she is one of my favourite fosters. She loves human company, she is happy to sit and watch tv with you or curl up on your bed at bed time. She has been a good mum to her 6 kittens and it's now here turn to find a home. Narla does like other cats but i feel she gets along better with male cats. She is currently in an indoor outoor home but must always be indoors at night.

Narla was rescued from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter heavily pregnant. She gave birth to 6 little kittens shortly after and was being a good mother until last week when she seizured and was rushed to the vets. Narla had pyometra and the vets didn't hold out much hope of her surviving the night. Thankfuly she did pull through and later the next day when the vets felt she was up to it, they desexed her.

Narla has made a remarkable recovery and we are so thankful that she is now back with her kittens (albeit seperated for most of the day until her stiches are out). Narla's medical care has come to $250 and we are seeking sponsorship to help us cover these additional costs.

If you can help please call Megan on 9627 2767 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or click below Thank you to Christian and Robyn for your generous donations. Narla's vet fees have now been fully covered.

Narla was adopted on 24 October 2009 after 4 weeks in foster care

Charlie

Charlie

Persian - male

Charlie is a handsome Silver Shaded Persian that is sadly now looking for a new loving home as his owner passed away. Charlie is such a sweet boy and always purring when around you. He is loving, very affectionate, confident and well behaved. He settles quickly into a new home and like most men the way to his heart is via his stomach. He also loves a belly rub and to be brushed. He is most happy when he is snuggled on the lounge with you at night. At 10 years old he is still very healthy and happy and laid back. He requires an indoor only home and someone happy to groom him briefly once a week so his fur stays nice and knot free. He is fine with other cats and getting used to dogs. He is happy at home by himself during the day while his family is at work or would make a great companion cat to a retired person/couple.

Charlie was adopted on 11 October 2009 after 1 month in foster care

Marshmallow

Marshmallow

DSH - male

Marshmallow is a beautiful looking, fairly large boy. He is very affectionate and likes to jump up on the bed (or wherever you are) for cuddles. He is super affectionate to strangers as well, allowing friends to pat him and stroke him. He's also really placid and strolls around the place without a care in the world. He's so calm and peaceful. Such a pleasure!

Marshmallow was adopted on 05 October 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Sponge Bob

Sponge Bob

DSH - male

Bob is a fearless, good looking young fellow. He loves company but is not a needy cat. He enjoys a rub in the morning but for the rest of the day will keep himself entertained. He likes to be in a room with somebody and will watch most intently. He has an interesting personality. Not suitable for young children because he likes to bite and claw when he is playing. He has not learnt the fine art of playing gently. At night he will wait for the other cats to find their spot on the bed and will only then find himself a spot. He gets on well with all the animals in the house. He got his name because he loves to play with a piece of sponge. It keeps him entertained for hours

he carries it around the house and attacks it, which is so cute to watch.

Sponge Bob was adopted on 05 October 2009 after 1 month in foster care

Trisha, Mr Awesome, Pebbles

Trisha, Mr Awesome, Pebbles

DSH - mixed

Trisha, she is a very affectionate young lady. Loves a cuddle and is very quiet.

Golem

He should rather have been called Fearless. He is scared of nothing and seems to take everything in his stride. Purs like a machine if you love him, doesn't bother him if you don't. Doesn't budge when the dog tries to stare him down and loves photo's. He seems to pose for them.

Mr Awesome, he loves a good cuddle, will spend hours in your lap just being stroked. He is also very vocal. He loves to talk to you.

While undergoing her routine desexing operation it was discovered that Pebbles had two seperate and unusual hernia's. With one her bladder was strangely connected hernia in a way that had to be surgically seperated. IT is believed that as a baby kitten she probably suffered some kind of trauma that had caused this disfiguration. The vets feel with the extent of the damage that she was lucky not to have suffered from organ damage at the time. Pebbles is recovering well from her opertaion and should have no further problems down the track.

If you can help sponsor some of Pebbles additional vet costs please call Judy on 9674 4824 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or click below. Pebbles extra vet fees have come to $281 Thank you to JS Security for their donation towards Pebble's vet care. Pebble's fees have now been fully covered.

Lollypop

Lollypop

DSH - female

blue and cream torti

Lollypop is desperately looking for a new bed to call her own. She was rescued from death row with only an hour to spare and is now waiting patiently for that special person to love. Lolly loves human company and loves to snuggle up close in bed. She is such a beautiful, smoochy, friendly girl but she always seems to get passed by because everyone wants a kitten!! She is a far cry from the poor skinny girl who first came to live here

she is now what one would call rotund ! If you think you could be that special person who would love her for just being her please give us a call. Lolly really does deserve to have her OWN home. She would probably be better suited to an older person or a grown up family

Lollypop was adopted on 29 September 2009 after 2 months in foster care
