Piper

Piper

female

Piper has certainly had a rough time of it. Dumped at the pound, pregnant, only to be rescued and then lose her litter. Still, she is a lovely, gentle cat who really deserves a home where there is lots of cuddles and love on offer. Piper is a good eater and uses the litter tray. She has shown no sign of wanting to go outside and is happiest in my back room napping in the afternoon sun.Piper pretty much keeps to herself when it comes to the other foster cats but will socialise with them during meal times. She is very nervous around my dog and as such keeps her distance. Piper would be best suited to a home where there are no dogs or young children.

Sponsorship Required Piper has had a rough time of it lately. Finding herself heavily pregnant and in the pound, she caught cat flu and unfortunately lost her kittens who had died inside her. Piper had to be rushed to the vets during her labour and straight onto a course of anti-biotics to prevent infection from the dead kittens. She then underwent surgery to remove the kittens and desex her. Luckily Piper is doing well and should make a full recovery

If you can help us by sponsoring Pipers vet bills which have come to $480 please call Megan on 9627 2767 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or click below.

Thank you to Maureen, Aphra and Lisette for their generous donations in sponsorship of Piper

Piper was adopted on 26 December 2010 after 2 months in foster care

Pepper

Pepper

female

Pepper is THE most beautiful and gentle cat I have ever had the pleasure of fostering. Pepper is Nelson's mother but has adopted all of the kittens I foster as her own. She will often be seen grooming them and sharing her food even though they have already eaten.Despite being dumped when she was pregnant, Pepper is relaxed and friendly. She gets on extremely well with my own cat and to see them both sitting together on their chairs on the back patio or snuggling together on a cat bed in the sun is really heart warming. In fact, the two are now nick-named Ma and Pa Kettle.Pepper loves being outdoors and only comes in at night to eat and sleep. She is a great hunter and has caught me a large rat as well as one for the next door neighbour. Although Pepper gets along with the other cats here, as well as my two young children, she is quite timid of my dog and tends to stay out of her way. Yet if she feels the kittens are under threat from my dog she will come to their rescue and won't back down until my dog has walked away.Pepper is not at all fussy with her food and is litter trained.Pepper would suit living with a single person, a couple or a family. She would be happiest being able to spend her days outdoors while coming indoors at night.

Pepper was unfortunately attacked by a stray cat which resulted in an abscess on her back which left her unable to walk. She required an emergency operation to remove the abscess and she was left with a drain which was removed last week.Thankfully she is now making a full recovery.

Pepper's vet fees so far have come to $400. If you can help us cover some of these additional vet costs please call Megan on 9627 2767 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or click below.

Thank you to Jan for her very generous donation towards Pepper. Her vet fees have now been fully covered.

Jasmine

Jasmine

DLH - female

Jasmine is an absolute treasure. She is extremely cuddly, affectionate and she loves stretching out onto your lap. Within an hour of moving into our foster home she was already purring and ready to cuddle the nearest person. Surprisingly, I have never heard her meow which shows her calm and peaceful nature. She travels fantastically in a car, so no more painful trips to the vet ! Jasmine has the most beautiful eyes and gorgeous coat. She has a wonderful personality, is very content and is now looking to find a loving home ! She is very curious about being outside and whilst we have kept her inside, she is more than happy to spend all day on the outside windowsill. She is fully toilet trained, microchipped and vaccinated. Jasmine has a skin condition that the vet claims it appears to be caused from stress which leaves her with a small bumps on her skin - we have a gel wash that we can give to you which will aid this condition - These can get itchy at times for her. Jasmine is truly one of the kindest, loving, affectionate cats I have ever cared for.
