Mastiff cross - female - 2 months and 4 weeks

Cena is a 10 week old Mastiff cross who is just full of life. She is a typical puppy, wanting to play with everyone who is available, including dogs! She has recently been rescued from a regional pound, and so is enjoying all the love she can get with her new carer and the 4 dogs she is surrounded by.
Whilst Cena is not yet vaccinated or desexed so can't be adopted, she is absolutely available to meet, so call her foster carer Rod to say hello!

Cena has been in foster care since 03 March 2019, for 3 weeks

Corgi cross - male - 2 years

This little guy is Nacho. He is an approximately 2 year old Corgi cross who was recently rescued from a country pound and is now in care. Nacho has a keen appetite, and is in the process of gaining a little bit of weight as he is on the skinny side. He loves cuddles, and is a very gentle boy.
Since being in care Nacho can't get enough love from his carer, and sometimes can bark if left outside for periods of time to get their attention. As such, Nacho would suit someone with a good routine he can get into, and would be great if he could sleep inside as well. He walks really well on the lead, and weighs around 15kg so isn't a big boy at all, so he is easy to handle.
Nacho will be vaccinated and desexed in the coming week and will then be ready for adoption - in the meantime, get in touch to meet this gentle young boy.

Nacho has been in foster care since 04 March 2019, for 2 weeks

Domestic Short Hair - male - 2 months and 2 weeks

All kittens will be ready to be adopted once they reach 1kg approx mid March. They will be microchipped, and have had their 1st vaccination. Desexing is also covered by the adoption fee.

If you would like to arrange a meet and greet please contact the respective foster carer.

Beetle has been in foster care since 04 March 2019, for 2 weeks

Kelpie cross Staffy - female - 8 months and 2 weeks

Stella is a lovely young red Staffy x Kelpie who has recently been rescued from a country pound. She is currently a little timid, especially around new men, but once she gets to know you her beautiful nature comes out. At 8 months old she is still quite young and would benefit from obedience training and patience from her new family to help her develop and feel comfortable in her own nature. She is currently in care with a larger and older dog, and interacts with him very well. Whilst she is getting used to the lead, primarily because her surroundings intimidate her, she is very well behaved in the car when travelling. She has recently been taken in the car for a swim in the river with her new family, and absolutely loved the water. Stella is unlikely to grow in size but she is quite skinny at the moment, and so will fill out. She currently weighs around 15kg, but is likely to be closer to 20kg when she is back to her healthy state.
Currently she is being kept inside and outside, sleeping inside at night, which has been really beneficial for her with getting used to her surroundings. It would be great if she could go to a home where she could continue to sleep inside.
Stella has had her first vaccinations and is booked into be desexed in the next few weeks, so she will be able to go to her new home after all this has happened. However, she would love to meet her potential new family! Get in touch to learn a bit more about her!

Stella has been in foster care since 05 March 2019, for 2 weeks

Labrador x Shar pei - female - 3 years

This gorgeous, friendly, girl has come into care with a severe flea allergy and extremely underweight. Thankfully, she is responding very well to treatment and foster care and her skin is already looking much better after just a week.

Milo has been raised in a busy home with older children and is very friendly with all she meets, although she may have had bad experience with large men and can be scared by them or other things (like brooms). She has adapted to living with other dogs extremely well but has yet to be tested with cats. She seems to enjoy having canine company for the first time in her life.

She is a smart girl and despite having very little training prior to coming into care she is picking up the rules of her foster home very quickly. She can now sit on command and walks well on the lead without pulling. She also was fine travelling (restrained) in the car. To ensure her ongoing training an experienced dog home would be best.

She isn't as a large as a full labrador.

Milo is currently "on hold" as she needs to gain weight before she can be desexed and we want to make sure her skin condition heals up. Enquiries are welcome now and hopefully she'll be ready to leave for her new home in 2-4 weeks.

Milo has been in foster care since 06 March 2019, for 2 weeks

Beagle/Beaglier - male - 8 years and 9 months

Meet delightful Scooby; an 8 year old Beagle/Beaglier who is a ball of energy. With good looks and sweet gentle nature, the first suitable prospective owner will fall in love with him straight away.

Scooby previously was owned by a lovely lady who found herself having to care for her father and because she worked a full time job, had less time to give Scooby so unselfishly surrendered him into DCH care. He travelled for 2 hours to get to me and when I approached the car his tail was wagging..

Scooby is a delightful youthful boy weighing in at around 20 kilos. He has a beautiful coat and is used to spending his days outside. It is clear he just loves human company and gets along with 2 older dogs in his current foster home. He loves laying on the tiled floor to keep his tummy cool and also loves his tummy tickled and legs massaged.

On walks, Scooby walks well on the lead, does not pull excessively and approaches other dogs and says hi and also loves dog parks. There's not
a nasty bone in Scooby's body.

If you'd like to meet Scooby please contact his carer Fiona by e-mail or call on the phone number below.

Scooby has been in foster care since 13 March 2019, for 1 weeks
