Private Horse

Dwane is about 42 high and is a natural black colour. He has previously been used for breeding and produces small foals. Dwane needs an experienced owner as he has been in a paddock with other horses for a while with minimal handling. He's good with dogs and other animals and he's located near Parkes in NSW. Dwane is available for $300.

Ebony is an attractive bay/black mare about 14.2hh. She is quiet and friendly, easy to handle in every way. Ebony would suit a confident or experienced rider to further her education under saddle. She is quick on her feet and may become a good sporting horse.

Bosco is about 15hh. He is kind natured and very friendly, he loves getting head rubs. Bosco retired from racing last year and has not been broken to saddle. He would suit someone interested in a harness horse or an experienced rider capable of retraining him under saddle. Bosco windsucks on timber posts, so he should go to a home with plenty of pasture to keep him occupied.

Flash is a sweet-natured old boy, about 14hh. He's still very mobile and looks great when he moves. Flash is a bit lean, but due to his age, may never be fat again. He is looking for a caring home as a companion horse. Flash is available for $300.

Squirt is about 13.2hh, and a beautiful, natural black colour. He is very pretty to look at and has a smart trot (he loves trotting!) Squirt has been handled, but is still a bit shy. He has not been broken to saddle. With his looks and fondness for trotting, he may make a great harness horse. Squirt needs an experienced home to further his education. Squirt is available for $550.

Rusty is quick on his feet, very solid has good muscle tone. He would make an excellent sporting pony or jumper and has been known to jump over 1 metre. He is a solid pony who would suit an advanced rider, either a small adult or teenager. He is a sweet natured but nervous pony. Rusty needs gentle, consistent handling to gain trust in his handler. He would do well in a situation where he is treated as a pet, not just a riding mount. Once he knows you he loves a cuddle and a scratch on the head. Initially he will be difficult to catch, but once caught he is easy to lead, lunge and brush etc, although he still gets nervous about being touched around the hindquarters. Rusty is not suitable for a home with small children as he has been known to show jealous behaviour towards them. Rusty is available for $550.

Takima has a very placid and docile temperament. She is unbroken but has been mouthed and saddled. Virutally bomb proof as nothing bothers her, kids, dogs, screaming ranting or raving is merely met with an interested What are you doing? attitude. Seller bred and raised this lovely Dark Chocolate mare. She would make an excellent pony club mount or simply for pleasure riding once trained.

Roscoe is a lovely gentleman, in plump paddock condition. He is easy to catch, shoe, float, worm, and give injections to. Teeth and feet done recently. He is very quiet to ride if you are a confident rider, however at present he hasn't been ridden in a year. When ridden in a group he will just plod along, however out alone he will pick up on a nervous person, hence he is not for beginners. Roscoe raced up until about 9 years, then pulled wedding carriages for 2 years. He's done Parelli (Level 1) and has been an RDA horse last year for 4 months, he was great ridden but a bit cranky on the ground. Roscoe would suit being a grass eater, companion horse, or great for someone who is confident, firm but kind who wanted a quiet horse to ride on trails, ride out on the farm on etc, he is not at all a tear around horse. Beau is approx 15.2hh. He is kind-natured and gentle with a willing nature. Beau is quiet to ride, and would suit a confident rider. Beau Brady is available for $700.
